Welcome to Westwood, a small charity tackling the isolation among vulnerable individuals in our local community. We believe social isolation is a serious problem that affects many people, especially the elderly, those with disabilities or health issues, and those facing financial hardships. We’re all about being there for people who need some help and companionship. We run activities that help bring us all together and build up a strong sense of belonging. We’re dead-set on making a real difference in people’s lives, and we’d love it if you came and got involved to help us make our community a warm, welcoming, and caring place to be. Our story. Westwood was set up in 2015 by our 3 Trustees: Dave Fairbank, Neil Morris and Norman Perrin. Between them they have over 70 years experience working for charities and social enterprises in the voluntary and community sector. They themselves have lived experiences of the challenges Westwood was set up to tackle. Neil is Community Lead of Westwood2015. A Churchill Fellow, a teacher, and an author, he has 30 years experience working within communities. |
